Jeanne approaches food as an art form.... The menu changes daily based on available fresh ingredients, but it is always a delightful experience. An eclectic menu, it is inspired by Jeanne's travels and southern roots. In the words of a dear friend, Jeanne's cuisine is "love food."

Dinner at Chez Jeanne was superb. Not only was the meal, a fusion of influences, complex and undeniably tasty, Jeanne’s energetic, dynamic personality added to the flavor of every bite. The hostess can easily be described as a citizen of the world which can be tasted in her cooking, observed in her décor and appreciated in her conversation.

Jeanne is a true Francophile. She speaks French, as well as several other languages--Russian, Portuguese and a couple of others that I can't recall--and is a delightful host. The meal was superbly prepared. It was risotto with Italian sausage and, in an homage to her North Carolina roots, shrimp and a bacon reduction...Italy meets the Southern cooking. Everything was bursting with wonderful flavors that would never normally be found together but worked. She explained where everything was sourced and decorated the table with flora reminiscent of her days in Paris. If I wore a beret, i'd take it off to her now.
