As an archaeologist and passionate cook I will share with you the concepts and secrets of Ancient Roman cooking while preparing a sumptuous three course dinner, based on recipes from Apicius' cookbook "De re coquinaria", with lots of good and organic ingredients, many of them grown on our own soil.
Ancient recipes surprise with their - for us - unusual combination of tastes and aromas, blending the salty, the sweet, the sour and the spicy into astounding combinations.
